Love Letters to The Faerie Playhouse
Learn about The Faerie Playhouse and its importance to local queer history as the former home of LGBTQ+ activists Stewart Butler and Alfred Doolittle on Saturday, February 8th from 2-4pm at Dodwell House, 1519 Esplanade Ave.
Enjoy cookies and a musical performance by the Pair-A-Dice Tumblers.
We will be making valentines to show support for saving queer places in New Orleans as part of a national event by the National Trust for Historic Preservation known as “heart bombing.” Valentines will later be shared with the families of Stewart Butler and Alfred Doolittle at their private inurnment service.
